Last week after returning home from NAW’s Executive Summit, I took a moment to reflect on the changing technology landscape in B2B distribution in the past 5 years. We’re now at a point where distributors are more proactively looking to partner with new tech companies, both startups small and large. These two sides, tech and distribution, have recognized that they need each other.
Success or failure in the collaboration between tech businesses and distributors will fundamentally all come down to trust. The classic saying “talk is cheap” is very relevant - especially when compared to judging a company by its actions. However, how to evaluate a tech company’s actions is different than judging a traditional business operating in the wholesale industry.
