Our B2B Chemical Tech Landscape and State of the Industry report analyzes the most prominent startups in the chemical tech landscape. 

We analyzed the Americas, Asia and Europe and split the startups into two key business models relevant to B2B eCommerce. One group is the B2B marketplaces who go end to end connecting buyers and sellers. The other is SaaS startups that enable B2B eCommerce, typically supporting one side of the transaction.

The Two Main Business Models of Chem Tech Startups:

  1. Product marketplaces, a good example of this model is Knowde, who closed a $14 Million Series A Led by Sequoia and $72 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Coatue Management.

  2. SaaS Solutions that cover lab management, product development and research and development processes. Alchemy.cloud is one of the startups occupying this space.
